Miesha Theresa Tate ( born August 18, 1986) is an American professional mixed martial artist. She currently competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) which is where she is a former UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion. Tate earlier competed in Strikeforce in which she was an Strikeforce Women’s Bantamweight Champion. She was also the vice president of ONE Championship. On October 3, 2022, she is 10th in the UFC women's bantamweight rankings.



 



 Early life



 Tate was born to Michelle Tate in Tacoma (Seattle), Washington. She was raised by Robert Schmidt and Michelle. Being a typical teenager she frequently hung out with the boys in her neighborhood at playgrounds.
